I have chosen to participate in the 2023 Travis Manion Foundation 9/11 Heroes Run. Please support me in my endeavor by making a donation! Your donation will help Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) - a military support organization that empowers our nation's veterans and families of the fallen to develop character in future generations. Named after 1stLt Travis Manion, USMC, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Al Anbar province of Iraq on April 29th, 2007, the Foundation is committed to honoring our nation's fallen heroes.

I was still living in NYC when 911 happened and I remember the day oh so clear.  It didn't seem real but once I realized the only way I would get to my sister and my son wsa to walk home, reality set in.  I walked from 45th street and 8th Ave all to way home.  Once I was home I realized the scholls did not release them to the baby sitter.  Walking again, I had to go to both schools to pick them up.  Once we arrived at home, I didn't let them go for at least 24 hours.  I'm grateful that we continue to honor the fallen heroes.  This 5k is only one way that I support Tthe Travis Manion Foundation throuoghout the year.
